Is this to Jeremy Lent? And inner development goals? To many environmental organizations?

I would add the impacts from ancestral trauma and unnested childhood (Darcia Narvaez) which limits our wide intelligence and wise maturity.

The solutions, as if it was a problem out there to fix, a separate thing, might come from the more than human world, not from humans alone.

Dear Malin, Thank you for this profound expansion bringing in ancestral trauma. You have touched exactly upon the raw nerve of the matter. When I wrote this, I was speaking not about a specific person rather to a type of thinking—found in so many global institutes, academic system-redesign programs, and environmental NGOs—that remains obsessed with trying to explain, fix, and repair the planet from the top down. The very phrase "creating a better world" is still drenched in the old, anthropocentric arrogance. It assumes that humanity is the central architect, the manager, and the savior of a separate, passive reality. Your addition of ancestral trauma and our evolutionarily unnested upbringing goes to the heart of the failure. We cannot lecture or engineer a deeply displaced, chronically dysregulated collective nervous system into wise maturity. The trauma runs too deep for intellectual medicine. Ultimately, as long as our conversations remain human-centric, we have missed the true threshold of this era. A more aligned world does not happen when humans finally figure out the perfect blueprint. It happens when the hyper-rational human mind exhaustedly steps away, relinquishes its need for control, and humbles itself. The real work is to drop back down into that sub-species liminal space—a place of quiet, shared companionship with the more-than-human world and all planetary beings. I like how Jeremy Johnson speaks about this. The answers we are looking for do not belong to us; they are already held by the living matrix that sustains us, waiting for us to return in absolute humility to the web. Thank you for bringing your voice into this shared field. It is a beautiful confirmation that a different, deeper logic of coherence is indeed taking shape between many who sense that return to deeper coherence by remembering our knowing in a somatic way. Warmly, Cordula
