A Parallax Course
COURSE: Rebuilding Magick in Theory and Practise
In this second instalment of the ongoing Parallax courses on “Rebuilding Spirituality”, we will focus on Magick as an authentic western system of initiation and development. Although Magic(k), as a school of thought, has quite changed over the last centuries and in turn became more refined with every iteration, there are certain constant axioms and approaches which can help to situate the practitioners properly within the ever-increasingly complex psyche/world that they inhabit and align them with their future in a deep and profound way. This course aims to confront the catastrophe of postmodern spirituality and to beginn to renew Magick for our current age with the help of systems-theory and depth-psychology.
Tom Amarque will guide us through this introduction to Magick, focusing on its history and basic principles, perspectives and methods. Join Tom for supportive depth-oriented feedback that includes live Q & A sessions. Get special access to advanced theory modules explaining the view necessary to make sense of how we reformat authentic transformational spirituality for our strange and disturbing times.

We also talked about sex difference, shamanism, and the difference between the tantric and the sutric realm. 2 hours of mad ideation and fun.

About Parallax
Parallax is a European online media platform offering constructive and fresh perspectives for the post-post modern age. We publish essays and podcasts, webinars and lectures, and are a hub for original and heterodox thinking.
The word ‘parallax’ stems from the old greek παράλλαξις parállaxis, which means to shift the viewpoint of the observer. The name suggests psychoactive and alternative sense-making, as opposed to mainstream narratives and ideologies.
Through our work with various European ‘digital tribes’, we create media and Bildung (education), and promote social, cognitive and spiritual development. Moreover, we aim to provide a European counterpoint to the dominant anglo-saxon narratives.
